We believe in the reality of God. God is:-
- the Creator
- the one and only true God
- the Father of Jesus Christ.
God has revealed himself in the Bible and supremely in Jesus Christ.
We believe in the person of Jesus Christ. He is:-
- the Son of God
- an historical person who demonstrates God’s love
- the only way back to a real relationship with God.
Jesus lived and died on a cross for our sins.
He rose from the dead and is a spiritual reality to his followers in every age.
By grace and through faith, people (who are, by nature, sinful) can become his followers by repentance and forgiveness.
The broken relationship with God is restored and God’s Holy Spirit lives within each believer.
We believe in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is:-
- the presence of God in the world
- ever present in each believer
- the power in our relationship with God and other believers
- evidenced by changed lives.
We believe in the truth of the Bible. The Bible:-
- is God’s revelation to people of His eternal plan
- forms the basis of what we believe and the way we live.
We live these beliefs by being a community of believers who:-
- worship God individually and together
- demonstrate the priesthood of all believers
- follow Christ as His disciples
- care for one another and
- demonstrate God’s love to the world
until Jesus comes to earth again.
